Divya Dutta impressed with Kareena's attitude
Post 'Heroine' Divya Dutta's phone has not stopped ringing. It was the meaty, unconventional role with some great dialogues that did the trick.
"Nobody has seen me in Heroine kind of a role. It was a pleasant surprise for the audience. I got lot of calls congratulating me," says Divya who had apprehensions initially of playing the role.
"I felt I was too soft for the role and we worked on my look, style and attitude. It was a great challenge," she adds. Dialogues from the film like 'Yeh film industry hai madam, isme ya toh manipulate karo ya manipulate ho jao' and 'Confidence se bolo toh industry jhooth ko bhi sach maan leti hai', have become a big draw and one even finds college students mouthing these dialogues in college functions. And it was Kareena Kapoor's bold avatar in a deglamourised look that impressed Divya majorly.
"Kareena was simply amazing, she didn't mind facing the camera with her kajal smudged. She was really bindaas," says Divya.
Divya's future projects include, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Neeraj Pandey's Special Chabbis and Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera and there is also Zilla Ghaziabad. All these films are likely to release in the first half of next year. "My role in Zilla Ghaziabad is action-oriented. Also, there is lot of variety in all the roles I am playing, they are all central, integral characters. I am excited since I am getting to experiment a lot and it is an interesting phase of my career."
