Can you tell us about your on- and off-screen romance with Saif?

We have great chemistry, both on-screen and off-screen. As far as working with Saif in Tashan goes, I enjoyed every bit of it.

There were reports that Saif and you were getting married after Tashan.

This is utter nonsense. I have never spoken to anyone about this. It’s true that Saif and I are in love and marriage is on the cards, but we’re not getting married for at least another five years.

What’s your take on love?

I believe love and friendship last forever. Everything else follows. Saif is my best friend. We are friends first and then a couple.

A lot has been said about your daring bikini scenes in Tashan...

I can’t talk about the movie or my scenes. You’ll have to watch the film to find out why I did those scenes. All I can say is that everyone worked very hard. I hope the audience will appreciate my role.

Is it true that your star ratings went up after Kareena came into your life?

I am very sure about that. Though I’m not a very superstitious person, I think everyone needs a little bit of luck.

How was it working with her?

Great. She’s a fab actress and a wonderful co-star.

Why did you make such a show about your love for Kareena?

I give a damn about what anybody thinks because that’s the way I am. It’s true that I’m in love with Kareena. Why shouldn’t I tell the world about it?

Is is true that Kareena’s mother Babita does not like you very much?

This is utter rubbish. I’ve met her [Babita] quite a few times. She’s a lovely lady and we get on pretty well.

You didn’t want to work with Akshay Kumar in Garam Masala as you didn’t want to play second fiddle. What made you agree to do Tashan with him?

I did not turn down Garam Masala because I had to play second fiddle to Akshay, neither am I doing that in Tashan. I’ve done many movies with him in the early stage of my career and I’ve learnt a lot from him.
